Job Title: Palliative Care Nurse

Nature of Job:           

The post holder will be responsible for the implementation of all hospital policies, procedures and clinical guidelines for maintaining a high standard of Palliative and End-of-Life Care

To provide professional and clinical support and advice to all Dilasa staff regarding End-of-Life care.

Qualification

B. Sc Nursing/M. Sc Nursing, Certification and experience in Palliative care is mandatory.

Experience:

1- 2 yrs in palliative care.

Remuneration: 25000- 30000 (variable as per experience)                        

Reporting to: Nurse In-charge and Palliative Care Physician

Accountable to: Management of IMA Ponda Charitable Trust

Job Description
  • The palliative care nurse provides compassionate care and emotional support for those with serious health related suffering and their families.
  • Working in a variety of settings: home visits, inpatient and outpatient facilities
  • Provide and monitor pain and other symptom management
  • Provide non-pharmacological physical measures like lymphedema management, wound dressings
  • Dispense and administer medications on schedule
  • Work with MDT to provide effective and timely psycho-socio-spiritual support.
  • Participate in the bereavement support teams
