At a press conference held at Trivandrum, Kerala on 24 March 2010, Kshema Foundation announced that its A.P. Aslam Achievement award this year will go to Pallium India for its contribution to palliative care in India.

The cash award of Rs. 50001 will be handed over at a function at Hotel Mascot on 5 April 2010 which will be attended among others by Union Minister Shri Shashi Tharoor and Kerala State Minister Shri Divakaran.

The money is badly needed for palliative care.
