KOOTTAM 2025 (Volunteering Carnival)
Tagore Theater in Trivandrum witnessed a buzz with a gathering of more than 30 odd NGOs across the city, with their stalls put up on two days 26th and 27th April!

Into its second year, KOOTTAM, 2025 an initiative of Volunteer For India in collaboration with the Trivandrum Municipal Corporation had everything in place displaying community spirit, fun activities, exciting games, musical concerts, experience zones and workshops, panel discussions etc. with an opportunity to become a volunteer with any of the participant NGOs. Added attractions included two live musical concerts by “Mehfil – E- Sama” and “Jassi Gift” on day 1 and day 2 respectively. The inauguration took place in the Tagore Theater hall in presence of the representatives from all the participating NGOs.
In stall number 24, Pallium India offered a variety of engaging activities to attract people and over the two days it was an unforgettable experience and Kudos to all the stall members from Pallium India for their efforts and dedication behind this initiative.
Caricatures by brilliant artist Allumol and mehendi were two of our major engaging activities and attracted visitors very frequently to our stalls! The footfall over the weekend was in good numbers including different age groups queuing up to the stalls.
In addition to it, special limited edition signed copies of Dr. Rajagopal’s memoirs:
‘Walk with the Weary’ and its Malayalam adaptation ‘Sneham Santhwanam’ were also on display for people to buy! The proceeds from which goes to Pallium India’s patient care activities. We had a corner where some rehab items like crochets and key chains prepared by one of our patients were on display.

Organised by the Resource Mobilisation Department in cooperation with the Social Work and Community Engagement Team at Pallium India. The interns from the Social Work department were dedicatedly involved and showed a lot of enthusiasm behind this event.
Over a period of 2 days, we received up to 40 new registrations, (80-100 footfall) from people showing interest to volunteer with us and willing to invest their free time to Pallium India. Our representatives visited each stall, interacted with them, distributed pamphlets and brochures as a networking activity.
We look forward to next year.
