Launch of Singapore-India PACT Project
The Indian Medical Association Hall in Kochi buzzed with excitement on March 3rd, 2025, as Pallium India and the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) officially launched the Palliative Care Accessibility Core Training (PACT) project.

With 30 passionate and dedicated professionals from across India. This collaborative event was designed to enhance the skills and knowledge of healthcare providers, ensuring they are equipped to offer accessible and compassionate palliative care to patients in need. Participants from a variety of disciplines joined the training, including doctors, nurses, social workers, psychologists, and other healthcare professionals. This diversity of expertise helped foster rich discussions and a comprehensive approach to the challenges and opportunities within palliative care. The attendees hailed from various parts of India, each bringing their unique perspectives, challenges, and experiences. This helped ensure that the training was culturally sensitive and relevant to different regions, helping to bridge the gap in palliative care accessibility across the country. Successful Launch of the Singapore-India PACT Project Marks a Milestone in Palliative Care. Further a workshop was held till March 6th with this batch.

The participants connected with industry professionals from India & Singapore over a buffet lunch.
Pallium India Chairman, Binod Hariharan who was also present at the event, remarked that “PACT is an exciting step in enriching palliative care in India”.
