Department of Palliative Medicine at Kasturba Medical College, Manipal has obtained permission from National Medical Commission to start MD Palliative Medicine course (two seats per year) starting in 2021.

This news is heartening for more reasons than one. The institution has one of the most robust palliative medicine programs and faculty in the country. Even more importantly, this is the first MD course in the country in a institution that caters to conditions other than cancer.
