Pallium India-USA, the USA arm of Pallium India, has a mission to both support our parent organization’s important work in India and to provide ways to help the Indian community living in USA. We do this in a number of ways, and over the coming weeks we’ll be posting about upcoming events and trainings.

Below are some of our events and activities:

National Healthcare Decisions Day – Indians living in the USA often don’t know about Advance Healthcare Directives. We provide training and support to ensure they have access to, and understand about, this important document. Last year, Pallium India-USA gave a presentation at the India Community Center in Milpitis, CA, which featured Lisa Krieger of the SJ Mercury News, who has been writing extensively on the topic of planning for end-of-life care.

Sevathon – Each year, Pallium India-USA participates in the India Community Center fundraiser, Sevathon. This is a wonderful way to spread the word about the work we do here and abroad, and to raise much needed funds to keep our work going. This year’s event is on Sunday, July 14 at Baylands Park in Sunnyvale, CA. Register here to run for Pallium India-USA or make a donation and help us reach our goal of $3000.

Go Wish – Pallium India-USA connected with the Coda Alliance to learn about and try out a card game, “Go Wish,” specially developed to provoke discussion about end-of-life care planning.

There may be a place for you or someone you know in our growing organization.

Here are some of our regular activities:

  • Monthly core group meetings
  • Hospice volunteering
  • Resource sharing/referrals
  • Speaker Forums to provide information to community
