Job Title: Palliative Care Nurse

Nature of Job: You will be a member of a palliative care team comprising one doctor, two or more nurses and one psycho-social counsellor. You will visit patients at their homes and by phone/video calls. You will provide compassionate and expert nursing care in palliative care, after being trained in this specialised care and under the guidance of the team doctor and Nursing seniors. The main purpose of palliative careis to relieve patient’s pain and manage their symptoms, ensuring that they have quality of life and die in dignity.  You will be assigned a zone close to your home to minimize travel time to patients. This is a 9:30 am to 5:30 p.m. job – leaving your evenings free, except when you need to answer a patient’s call. 

Qualification : A GNM (General Nurse Midwifery) diploma or BSc degree in Nursing, from a recognised institution in India with at least 2 years’ experience preferably in a hospital. We are however willing to consider freshers who demonstrate initiative and are committed to palliative care /pain management.

Reporting To: Team Doctor and Leadership Group

Location / Place of Job : Mumbai Metropoiltan Region

Languages: Marathi, English, Hindi

Remuneration: Your salary will be generous and commensurate with your years of experience. The position is in Mumbai.  Accommodation is not provided and applicants must make their own arrangements.

Personal characteristics:

• High-quality nursing skills.
• Compassion and personalised care to patients and their families.
• Effective communication skills, preferably in English/ Hindi / Marathi. 
• Dedication to the job and hard working.
• Prepared to undergo specialised training and regular refresher courses thereon. 
• Should be willing to make a commitment to the organization for a minimum of 3 years.
