Kuttikkoottam: A Day with Little Stars

Kuttikkoottam, a one-day camp was held at Mitraniketan, Thiruvananthapuram. This gathering brought together children receiving educational support from Pallium India, along with their parents.
The day was filled with learning, laughter, and inspiration. Mr. Sreejesh Warrier captivated the children with an engaging session on Artificial Intelligence, simplifying concepts that are shaping their future. Dr. Sangeetha followed with a heartfelt talk on palliative care—what it means, and how each of us can bring comfort to those in pain.
One of the most moving moments came when Ajin, a palliative care patient and wheelchair user, shared his life story. He spoke about how illness had confined his world, yet he chose to rise again “like a phoenix.” His courage and hope left a deep mark on everyone.
While the children were busy with their sessions, parents had a meaningful interaction with psychologist Mrs. Rajashree, reflecting on their own journeys and struggles.
The camp was graced by the presence of Dr. M. R. Rajagopal (Chairman Emeritus, Pallium India) and Mr. Manoj (Executive Director, Pallium India), whose encouragement added warmth to the gathering. The children lit up the stage with cultural performances, and those who excelled academically were recognized with prizes—a moment of pride for them and joy for everyone.
As the day drew to a close, there were smiling faces and an overwhelming sense of community. The children left with prizes, stories, and memories; along with the reminder that hope shines brightest when shared.
