Pallium India and SAT Paediatric Department & Paediatric Neurology are organising the third anniversary celebration and family get-together of Pratheeksha Paediatric Pain and Palliative Care Clinic, Thiruvananthapuram on 20 December 2014. The day-long event will be inaugurated by Shri V. N. Jithendran IAS, Director, Social Justice Department, at 10 AM, at Satyan Memorial Hall, Thiruvananthapuram. Prof V. Madhusudanan Nair will deliver the keynote address.
Pratheeksha Paediatric Pain and Palliative Care Clinic was opened in December 2011 by the Departments of Paediatrics and Paediatric Neurology, with support from Pallium India, to care for children with chronic debilitating illness which includes major neurological problems like cerebral palsy, chronic kidney diseases, as well as incurable diseases, Juvenile Rheumatoid Arthritis etc.
The program will be attended by the patients of Pratheeksha Paediatric Pain and Palliative Care Clinic and their families, as well as by well-wishers. There will be cultural programs by MBCET Nalanchira and students of SAT. A visit to the Museum is also planned for the children and their families.
