We have talked in these columns about Pallium India’s association with Dr Sankha Suvra Mitra, an oncologist from UK with his roots in Kolkata.

We are pleased to see the attention that Times of India gives to his work and to palliative care.

Congratulations, Dr Sankha Mitra and team. This is exactly the sort of thing that is required. It is shameful that even after a year and 3 months after simplification of the Narcotic rules of West Bengal, the same is not implemented and people are left in pain due to unacceptable regulatory barriers. We certainly need public and media attention on the matter. All strength to your hands.
