Advance Course in Pediatric Palliative Care
MNJ Institute of Oncology in collaboration with the International Network for Cancer Treatment and Research (INCTR) and International Association of Hospice and Palliative Care (IAHPC) is organizing a two days national workshop on Pediatric Palliative Care on 6th and 7th February 2012.
This course will provide learning opportunities for the participants to manage challenging chronic pain conditions like sickle cell anemia and cancer pain, difficult symptoms like shortness of breath and intractable convulsions, end of life care, difficult communication issues in dealing with children with life-limiting illnesses and their families and integrative approach to palliative care.
Dr Tamara Vesel MD, pediatric palliative care physician, educator and director of Interdisciplinary pediatric palliative care fellowship at Dana Farber Cancer Institute and Children’s Hospital Boston (Harvard University) and Ms Jody Chrastek DNP, Pediatric palliative care nurse, educator and coordinator of the Pain and Palliative Care program of Children’s Hospitals & Clinics of Minneapolis are going to be the international faculty for the program.

- Practicing palliative care physicians and physicians dealing with chronic pain and life-limiting illnesses in children
- Practicing palliative care nurses and nurses dealing with chronic pain and life-limiting illness

- Date: 9am–4.30pm 6th and 7th February 2012
- Registration Fee*: Rs 1000 (only limited registration available)
