On March 13th the 2026 edition of the India Giving Day witnessed 52 non-profit entities in the US participating, with the donation window open from March 1st, for a two-week long event based fundraising initiative.

For Pallium India USA, this year felt less like a campaign and more like the culmination of a shared journey—one shaped by generosity, community, and a deep commitment to care. An experience both humbling and inspiring.

Numbers at a Glance

What stood out immediately were the numbers, but behind each number was a person who chose to care:

  • $50,000 raised
  • 356 donors
  • 27 P2P fundraisers
  • 3 Prizes won
  • 3 Event Grants won

Each contribution, big or small, came together to support individuals and families navigating serious health related suffering.

A Moment on the Leaderboard:

Pallium India USA topped the leaderboard—both in the number of donors and P2P fundraisers. It was not just an achievement, but a reflection of a community that showed up wholeheartedly.

Special Mention

Among the many inspiring stories was that of Karina Grace, a young fundraiser who secured 2nd place for the most number of donors, reminding us that age is no barrier to making a difference. With her initiative ‘Checkmate for Palliative Care’ she attracted 120+ donors, raising $2100 for Pallium India USA. A pivotal fundraiser which helped our US entity to bag two prizes in the ‘Most number of donors’ and ‘Volunteer Fundraisers’ Category!

Awards

The campaign also brought encouraging recognition:

  • Most Number of Donors – $4,000
  • Most Number of P2P Fundraisers – $3,000
  • Checkmate for Palliative Care – 2nd Place, $2,000 (Checkmate for Palliative Care)

These milestones were meaningful – not just as awards, but as affirmation of what collective effort can achieve.

Events held that brought Us together

Beyond the numbers, it was the moments of connection that truly defined the campaign:

1. An online session on Palliative Care awareness with Ashley Elenjickal: Held on March 7th, on Zoom
2. Checkmate for Palliative Care: Held Online on March 8th on lichess. org
3. Bay Area Walkathon: Held on March 15th in the Bay Area, USA.

Gratitude at the Heart of it all

If there is one thing this journey reinforced, it is gratitude.

  • To the donors whose generosity made this possible.
  • To the P2P fundraisers, who carried the message forward with passion.
  • To Karina Grace and her parents: Mr. Mani Jame & Dr. Ramani James.
  • To India Philanthropy Alliance and Bonterra, who enabled this entire effort seamlessly.

In the shared purpose, we witnessed something powerful—the true meaning of the Power of Us. 💜
