Pallium India conducted a one-hour interactive session on “Introduction to Palliative Care” at the Military Hospital (MH), Pangode, on 28 August 2025. The session, led by Dr. Sunilkumar, built on last year’s program and focused on re-emphasizing the core principles of palliative care, while also discussing in detail the groups of patients who could benefit from such services.

Around 20 doctors and nurses from MH Pangode participated actively in the program. Col. Dr. Shetty, Commanding Officer of MH Pangode, attended the session and engaged in the discussions, underlining the hospital’s commitment to holistic patient care.

Representing Pallium India, Dr. Amirtha and Dr. Tony were also present. The session was well-received, generating meaningful reflections on how palliative care can be integrated into routine clinical practice to better serve patients in need.

At the conclusion, Col. Dr. Shetty expressed his gratitude to Pallium India for its ongoing collaboration and support. As a gesture of appreciation, he presented the team with a memento.
