Foundation Course for KUHS faculty
As the first step towards integration of Palliative care in to the Medical curriculum, a Foundation Course in Palliative Medicine was launched exclusively for the faculty members of Kerala University of Health Sciences (KUHS), by Trivandrum Institute of Palliative Sciences (TIPS), a division of Pallium India.
95 faculty members from the colleges affiliated under the University will be undergoing training for 20 weeks, the curriculum of which will be covering basics of pain and symptoms management, communication skills, and opioids management.
The program was inaugurated by Prof Dr Mohanan Kunnummal, the Vice Chancellor of KUHS. Pro Vice Chancellor Dr. C.P. Vijayan and Dr M R Rajagopal, Director of TIPS were among the dignitaries present.
We are excited by this development and we look forward to more collaboration with KUHS.
