On 9 February 2024, at the 31st International Conference of Indian Association of Palliative Care (IAPCON 2024) at Ahmedabad, Dr. Pallavi Ghosh, 2nd year DNB resident Palliative Medicine, Basavatarakam Indo American Cancer Hospital & Research Institute (BIACHRI), Hyderabad received the much-valued Bruce Davis gold medal from Dr Sushma Bhatnagar, the president of IAPC.

This gold medal was instituted in the name of Mr Bruce Davis, a retired businessman from the UK who spent much of his earning to promote palliative care in India.
