Shanti Palliative Care Centre (SPCC), Siliguri is looking for a Secretary-cum-Medical-Transcriptionist at Shanti Nursing Home, Siliguri, West Bengal.
Job Title: Secretary-cum-Medical-Transcriptionist
No of Vacancies: One
Qualification: Graduate in any discipline; demonstrated PC skills; Understands computer programs and willingness to learn software application procedures specific to maintaining a medical record and communication regarding care.
Mandatory: Graduate in any discipline; proficient with MS office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint etc.
Desirable: Skills for palliative care as medical terminology, hospice requirements, care of chronically ill, clinical documentation of patient’s assessment and care.
Job Location: Shanti Nursing Home, SILIGURI
Remuneration: 6-8,000 pm
Reporting to: Dr. Pankaj Chowdhary
Duties & Responsibilities:
Assist the leadership team with correspondence and projects as needed by researching, analysing and compiling information; serve as liaison between patients, nurses and home setting; first line patient and family assessment for palliative consults; facilitate visits for palliative care and coordinate continuity of care; facilitate continuity of communication and coordination of care with community providers; arrange palliative care consultation meeting with attending and other staff in collaboration with treating medical team; maintain records and other secretarial works as assigned by the palliative physician and nurse in charge.
Language:
English/Hindi – Mandatory
Bengali/Nepali – spoken preferable.
Skill sets required:
Excellent customer service skills; proficient with MS office products including Word, Excel, PowerPoint; ability to maintain both a high standard of courtesy and cooperation in dealing with coworkers, patients, and care givers; maintain and enhance a current level of knowledge relative to professional practice, continuing education.
