During the last two years, we find ourselves getting more and more engaged with educational programs using the ECHO model (Extension for Community Healthcare Outcome). This imaginative program is making tremendous inroads into healthcare education the world over, and we, palliative care activists in India are no exception.

We cannot thank Dr Sanjeev Arora enough. He envisioned and founded the program. We are grateful to him and all at “ECHO India” for the support that they have given us.

Very happy to share with you all this news from USA – that US senators have written to the Secretary of Health and Human Services supporting the ECHO model. Perhaps, there is a lesson here for us all regarding advocacy?
