Pallium India’s Chairman, Dr M. R. Rajagopal, was honored by Hon’ble Governor of Kerala, P. Sathasivam, at an event organized by Trivandrum Initiative in Palliative Care (TIPC) at VJT Hall, this evening.

Addressing Dr Rajagopal as father of Indian Palliative care, the Governor said he treated the felicitation event as a proud occasion in his life.

“The efforts taken by Dr Rajagopal and his team to bring palliative care initiatives in the district under one common umbrella for a better interaction, planning and action to help people in chronic pain, deserve appreciation. His services to empower cancer patients, improving the quality of their lives are world famous. Kerala needs more home-based palliative services”, said Governor Sathasivam.
