Objective:

To provide a forum for supporters of the palliative care movement anywhere in India to actively involve themselves in the work and to contribute to the cause.

Program features:

  • The council will work towards development of palliative care in India.
  • The council will be directly responsible to the trust (Pallium India)
  • Members will be informed of our activities through periodic newsletters.
  • Members will also be requested for advice and input in planning and implementation of activities of Pallium India. The reward will be the satisfaction of helping the most vulnerable section of our society in their hour of need.

Any one who makes a donation of not less than Rs. 5000 (Rupees five thousand only) will be invited to the National Council. Council members will get periodic information about activities of Pallium India and will be requested for opinion on policy matters pertaining to the organization. Payment may please be effected by demand draft payable at Trivandrum, or by cheque, which may be made out to “Pallium India” and sent along with the filled up registration form to:

Pallium India is a charitable trust registered under the Societies Registration Act (no. 693/2003/IV). Contributions to Pallium India are exempted for income tax u/s 80G.

Mr. Bruce Davis of the Bruce Davis Trust is a philanthropist from UK, who has funded and encouraged many palliative care programs in India, is the patron of the International Council of Pallium India.

  • The council will work towards development of palliative care in India.
  • The council will be directly responsible to the trust (Pallium India)
  • The functioning of the council in countries other than India would be informal in nature, however, depending on the individual country situation, if it is necessary to go in for formal registration in that country, that will be taken up on an individual basis.
  • Pallium India will ensure that any resources generated outside in India for a specific area or a specific project in India, will be used only for that purpose.
  • Members will be informed of our activities through periodic newsletters.Members will also be requested for advice and input in planning and implementation of activities of Pallium India. The reward will be the satisfaction of helping the most vulnerable section of our society in their hour of need.

Any one who makes a donation of not less than US $ 300 (US Dollars three hundred only) will be invited to the International Council. Council members will get periodic information about activities of Pallium India and will be requested for opinion on policy matters pertaining to the organization.
