Dr Scholastica - PulppallyThe district of Wayanad in north Kerala has one of the most active community-oriented palliative care in Kerala state. One of the pioneers of palliative care in the district, Rev. Sr. Dr Scholastica, was honoured at the annual meet of volunteers in Pulpally, Wayanad, on 2nd August, 2015. In her eighties, Dr Scholastica has now retired, but is still benevolently being a mother to the palliative care movement in the district. Pallium India was proud to be part of the ceremony.

At this point, we also fondly pay our homage to another pioneer, the late Rev. Sr. Regina.

Like all the volunteers’ meets in the state, the meeting at Pulpally also demonstrated enthusiastic participation and active discussions by the volunteers.
