Chengdu is the fifth largest city in China and is the capital of Sichuan province, and it leads the country in palliative care.

Dr M R Rajagopal, Chairman of Pallium India, was honored with the appointment of a honorary visiting professor at Sichuan University in China, along with three other distinguished professors, Professor Margaret O’Connor from Australia, Dr Bee Wee from Oxford and Dr. Yingwei Wang from Taiwan.

In his personal message, Dr. Jinxiang Li expressed admiration for the way in which palliative care has been taken up by the government in Kerala and in India at large, and requested Pallium India’s collaboration and cooperation in further developing palliative care in China.
